Jr. Sales & Operations Manager
We believe the unhealthy snack industry could use a shakeup. That's why we're creating healthier alternatives for your favorite snacks. "Bites," in other words, made with nuts, peas, beans, and lentils, with less fat, salt, and sugar and more fiber and protein, yet packed with flavor.
You're probably familiar with our products from the supermarket, school cafeteria, or office, and you've seen us on social media or in a goodie bag. We've grown significantly in recent years, both in foodservice and retail. Every year, we make an impressive 10 million snack moments healthier.
We're a team of nine with a lovely office in Amsterdam (Omval-Oost). The team usually works at the office, where our fresh lunch is always packed with vegetables, and we work together to ensure our snacks reach even more clients. Since 2023, we've also been officially certified as a B Corp.
We are now looking for a new colleague who can help us grow BitesWeLove even faster!
About the job:
You'll be part of the operations team (consisting of three colleagues) and responsible for operational and administrative sales processes, from receiving orders to verifying payment. This makes you essential to our growth. You'll also be the first point of contact for external parties, clients, and potential partners, both by phone and in person, making you our face. You'll also energetically tackle various office management tasks. And believe us, no two days are the same. Below is an overview of your responsibilities.
The position can be completed in 4 or 5 days from the BitesWeLove office in Amsterdam East (hours and time utilisation to be agreed).
Responsibilities:
- Operations: You'll monitor inventory and ensure shipments are processed correctly, communicate with logistics partners about operational matters, ensure all systems are in place, understand processes, create invoices and export documents, and oversee all day-to-day operations.
- Sales Support: You'll process customer orders, answer customer questions, complete customer and/or product forms, build customer relationships in our systems, or ensure they're referred to the right account manager on our team. You'll handle a significant portion of inbound sales, so you'll also be actively involved with the sales team to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Administrative tasks: you are responsible for various administrative tasks in Exact Globe, such as accounts receivable administration, processing receipts and invoices, and payment specifications.
- Office management: from customer service, packing and shipping sales and PR packages, to managing office supplies and placing office orders and groceries. You'll coordinate to ensure the office is a pleasant place to work for everyone.
- HR support: arranging team outings, booking business trips, trade fairs, and client visits, checking attendance lists, remembering birthdays, and supporting the onboarding of new colleagues.

- You are commercially and customer-friendly;
- You work accurately and with focus;
- You are positive and a problem-solver, have a flexible work attitude, are able to keep several balls in the air at the same time and are up for the challenge when things go a little differently than hoped;
- You are a real team player, enjoy collaborating and enjoy working cross-functionally;
- You are handy with Excel and get a sense of satisfaction when all the numbers are correct;
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and English (German is a plus);
- You understand administrative processes and accounting.
Experience
- You have at least 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role;
- You have demonstrable commercial and administrative experience;
- You have experience with an accounting program such as Exact Globe, Exact Online or similar (advantage).

- Salary based on experience and hours, 8% holiday allowance, 25 days of holiday (based on full-time), +1 fuck-it day per year and pension accrual;
